PAESTUM

Giamilfra is located at few kilometres from the archaeological ruins of Paestum, the old Greek colony called Poseidonies in Honour of Poseidon God of the Sea. There can be seen the best-preserved Greek temples (Photo 1-2-3), within the walls of the city founded by the Greeks and re-founded by the Romans (5). The museum shows the wall paintings best preserved (4) the funeral gifts in graves of the city.
